Ice Storm

Last night after it stopped snowing, it started to freeze rain. When we woke up this morning, there was about 1/2" solid sheet of ice covering the snow and everything. We are very lucky that we did not lose power. It is not expected to get above freezing for the next couple of days, so it will remain like this and actually, there will be more freezing rain. It will be nice to get everything back to normal again.

Here is Sebastian with a big chunk of ice.

Steve is trying to defraust his Bronco for a run to the store.

The bicycle covered completely with ice now.

Wow, look at that huge chunk of ice that the girls pulled up.

There was even ice covering the little spider webs in the bushes.

......and my holiday decorations. They look so pretty!

There was a solid sheet of ice encasing the van.

Steve tries to throw a big piece of ice...looks like it crumbled before it went anywhere.

Steve and Skylar show off their big, huge ice.

Here I am, man it was cold and I was already to go back inside.

Wow, that looks really cool.

The girls were making so much noise in that thick ice.

Here they are with their lovely ice.

It was a little bit hard to walk in all of that crunchy ice.

Daddy and Skylar were having a contest to see who could find the biggest chunk of ice.

Sebastian was having a hard time getting around.

He was having a hay-day throwing large pieces of ice around though.

Skylar was having a great time with all of that ice!

  1. It looks like all of the kids are having a good time exploring. I feel so sad because they closed the airport there and our son Chris is trying to get out of the airport to come here for a visit. I hope that the weather breaks soon so that planes can get from there to here.
